Wright State pulls away from Green Bay 64-53

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Reggie Arceneaux scored 15 points and hit all eight free throw attempts to help Wright State pull away from Green Bay 64-53 Thursday night in the Horizon League opener for both teams.

Tavares Sledge posted 13 points and nine rebounds and Miles Dixon came off the bench for 11 points for Wright State (10-4), winners of five of their last six games.

Green Bay (6-8) scored the game’s first four points but Wright State used a 22-6 run to take a 12-point lead with 6:55 left in the first half. Green Bay cut the deficit to nine, 33-24 at intermission, but watched Wright State open the second half with eight straight points to pull away.

Wright State outshot Green Bay 43.8 percent (21 of 48) to 36.2 percent (17 of 47), and scored 30 points in the paint.

Brennen Cougill led Green Bay with 17 points off the bench.
