RADFORD, Va. (AP) — Saah Nimley finished with 20 points, 11 assists and four steals, and Mathiang Muo added 15 points and 15 rebounds to lift Charleston Southern over Radford 81-74 Saturday in the Big South Conference opener for both teams.

Jeremy Sexton added 14 points, and Allie Fullah and Arlon Harper added 10 apiece for Charleston Southern (6-6).

Trailing 40-32 at halftime, Radford fought back, tying the game at 57 behind Ya Ya Anderson’s 3-pointer with 11 minutes remaining.

Charleston Southern answered with three consecutive 3s — two from Muo and one from Sexton to take a 66-57 lead with 9:56 left to play.

After R.J. Price’s 3-pointer cut the Highlanders’ deficit to three, 75-72 with 1:02 remaining, Nimley assisted Fullah for a layup, and then Nimley made four-straight free throws to seal the victory.

Price scored 19 points, and Javonte Green added 16 points and 13 boards for Radford (6-9).
