GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Linebacker Jelani Jenkins is the latest Florida player to declare for the NFL draft.

Jenkins announced his intentions Monday, leaving school after an injury plagued season and while recovering from foot surgery.

Jenkins joins safety Matt Elam, defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd and tight end Jordan Reed as juniors leaving Florida early.

After missing four games because of various injuries, Jenkins isn’t expected to be an early pick in April’s draft. His latest injury came in November, when he broke a bone in his right foot against Florida State, had surgery and missed the Sugar Bowl. He also sat out two games because of a broken bone on his right thumb and another because of a hamstring injury.

He had 29 tackles, two sacks and an interception this season.
