Letter: For solutions, find common ground

After reading opinions here regarding the recent mass murders, I decided to throw in my two cents. Instead of blaming, why don’t we try this: Work together and find a solution. All the name-calling and finger-pointing nonsense does not solve anything.

I find it odd that some want to blame guns. I blame mental illness and the inability of the law and medical society to deal with it.

I believe we should set our personal beliefs aside and respect each other’s opinion and really put the pressure on the responsible lawmakers and physicians to produce some meaningful results and quit protecting their own. I am a gun owner and NRA member and I feel we can find mutual ground and solve this. Remember, use cool heads and respect.
