MADRID (AP) — Patrick Ewing Jr. has signed with Spanish club Blancos de Rueda Valladolid until the end of this season.

The 28-year-old son of the former New York Knicks great is coming from Telekon Bonn, the German team where he played the first half of the 2012-13 campaign.

Like his father, Ewing played at Georgetown University. He was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2008, but spent most of his career in the NBA’s developmental league. He made seven appearances for the New Orleans Hornets in 2010-11.

Valladolid is 14th in the 18-team Spanish league.

The senior Ewing was a member of the United States’ “Dream Team” that won the gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
