Race car driver Danica Patrick is getting a new Go Daddy teammate in 2013.

Supermodel Bar Refaeli will co-start with the NASCAR driver in one of Go Daddy’s two Super Bowl commercials next month.

Refaeli, an Israeli-born model and actress, appeared on the cover of the 2009 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and ranked No. 1 on Maxim’s 2012 Hot 100 of the world’s most beautiful women.

Go Daddy announced last week that the duo will appear in the commercial titled “Perfect Match,” but did not release details of the spot.

The website hosting company is in need of a spark for its Super Bowl ads. Last year, USA Today’s ad meter from fan reaction of Super Bowl commercials ranked them 51st and 54th — dead last among all ads shown during the NFL’s showcase event.

Major League Baseball pitchers and catchers begin reporting Feb. 10 when Cleveland starts a day or two ahead of most teams.

Stan McNeal of Sporting News has issued his standings for the Hot Stove League of off-season moves.

He awards the Hot Stove championship to Toronto (R.A. Dickey, Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes and Melky Cabrera) with Boston the runner-up (Joe Hanrahan, Ryan Dempster, Mike Napoli and Shane Victorino, plus the dumping of manager Bobby Valentine).

Third place goes to Kansas City (James Shields, Ervin Santana and Wade Davis) with Cleveland No. 4 (Nick Swisher, Mark Reynolds and Brett Myers) Seattle is slotted at No. 5 on the strength of the Kendrys Morales acquisition, but McNeal will move the M’s to fourth if they get Michael Bourn.

Hey, NHL, give it a rest. When your labor strife cancels more than half your season, just let it go and start on time next season. It’s not like it’s the end of the world. You wiped out the 2004-05 season and came back the next year. A 48-game schedule of playing only opponents within your own conference? You are light years behind the NFL, MLB and even the NBA in national interest. This winter? Just play a handful of exhibition games then return with the full meal deal next fall.
