Lady Banks, Ea win Big A stakes

NEW YORK (AP) — Lady Banks and Ea each won $75,000 stakes in the mud on Saturday at Aqueduct.

Lady Banks beat Kiss the Lady by two lengths in the Ruthless for 3-year-old fillies. Eddie Castro was aboard for trainer James Lawrence II as Lady Banks ran the six furlongs in 1:12.14 for her second win in three starts. She paid $7.80 to win.

Ea dominated the 112-mile Coyote Lakes as the 6-5 favorite, rolling to a 612-length score over Charlie’s Quest. Ramon Dominguez rode for trainer David Jacobson as the 9-year-old gelding got his 11th victory in 43 starts, paying $4.70 to win. The time was 2:33.67.
