NEW YORK (AP) — Rhamel Brown scored 18 points and Manhattan led wire-to-wire in a 65-53 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference win over Marist on Sunday, snapping a two-game skid.

The Jaspers (5-11, 3-3) led 27-9 midway through the first half and shot 68.2 percent (15 of 22) en route to a 40-26 lead at intermission.

The Red Foxes climbed back to within seven points twice late in the game, the last time at 57-50 with 3:46 left, but Manhattan hit 6 of 10 free throws and Brown dunked with 14 seconds remaining for the final margin.

Brown, who was 7 of 10 from the field, but just 4 of 13 from the line, also had seven rebounds and seven blocks. Shane Richards added 11 points.

Devin Price scored 21 points and Chavaughn Lewis had his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Marist (4-13, 1-5), which has lost seven straight.
