Price of a gallon of gas ticks down 2 cents in Washington

The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.38. That’s down 2 cents in a week, but the same price as a month ago. It’s 8 cents higher than the national average.

Some metro prices from the AAA’s Monday survey: Bellingham, $3.50; Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, $3.45; Tacoma, $3.43; Olympia, $3.43; Vancouver, $3.37; Yakima, $3.29; Tri-Cities, $3.15; Spokane, $3.06.

The average price of gasoline in Oregon is $3.34, AAA reported. That’s down 4 cents in the past week, but a penny higher than a month ago. The average price is $3.32 in Portland.
