WSU Vancouver offers free help on aid forms

Washington State University Vancouver will host College Goal Sunday Washington at 1 p.m. Jan. 20 in the Firstenburg Student Commons, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave. Weekend parking is free.

Families will receive help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid required to apply for federal financial assistance for higher education. Completing the FAFSA takes about an hour. The event is open to all, regardless of which college the student intends to attend.

Workshops and volunteers will provide help in ASL, English, Russian and Spanish. Students and parents are encouraged to attend this event together. Families should bring recent tax forms and/or pay stubs, and students should bring their Social Security card and driver’s license.
