WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) — Ella Ellis scored 23 points as Army took command early, then held off Lafayette 77-54 Wednesday night in Patriot League action, snapping a three-game skid and a six-game losing streak in the series.

Ellis, who now has 1,337 career points, is six points shy of cracking the Black Knights’ all-time Top 10.

Army made 58.1 percent of its field goals (25 of 43), including 7 of 13 3-pointers, and had a 35-25 rebounding advantage.
