North Dakota State routs IUPUI 78-40

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — TrayVonn Wright had 16 points including four 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds to lead North Dakota State over IUPUI 78-40 on Thursday night.

Lawrence Alexander scored 11 points, pulled four rebounds and had three assists, Jordan Aaberg chipped in with 10 points and the Bison shot 57.4 percent as a team including making 15 of their first 24 shots in the first half to take a 38-18 lead at halftime.

North Dakota State (16-3, 7-0 Summit) hit 12 3-pointers, out-rebounded the Jaguars 35-22 and had 22 assists. The Bison led by as many as 43 in the second half and never trailed in the game.

Mitchell Patton scored 17 points to lead IUPUI (6-15, 1-6), which has lost five straight. No other player scored in double figures for the Jaguars.

The Bison held IUPUI to just 31.1 percent shooting on the game including a dreadful 26.1 percent mark in the first half.
