WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Nationals have agreed to a $2,337,500, one-year deal with left-handed starter Ross Detwiler, avoiding arbitration.

Detwiler earned $485,000 last season, when he went 10-8 with a 3.40 ERA in 33 appearances, including 27 starts, for the NL East champion Nationals.

Washington also avoided salary arbitration with right-handed reliever Caig Stammen by agreeing to a two-year contract Friday. Stammen went 6-1 with one save, a 2.34 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 88 1-3 innings in 59 relief appearances in 2012.

The Nationals agreed to a $2.5 million, one-year contract with right-handed reliever Drew Storen on Thursday.
