Nevada hits 30 FTs, beats Fresno State 68-61

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Malik Story scored 24 points, Deonte Burton added 22 and Nevada cashed in from the free-throw line in Saturday night’s 68-61 victory over Fresno State.

Nevada (10-7, 1-2 Mountain West) was held to 37.8 percent shooting on the game but was 30 of 37 from the free-throw line, 23 of which were made between Story and Burton. The Bulldogs were only 12 for 21 from the line.

Tied at 54 with 4:22 remaining in the contest, Nevada finished strong with a 14-7 run to earn the win. Jerry Evans Jr. hit a free throw to make it 55-54, and the Wolf Pack never trailed again. Evans ended the night with nine points and 11 rebounds.

Tyler Johnson led Fresno State (7-10, 1-3) with 16 points, Kevin Foster had 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Kevin Olekaibe chipped in with 10 points.
