Three people were displaced after a fire broke out in a central Vancouver house Sunday night.
Firefighters were dispatched at 9:47 p.m. to 5713 N.E. 51st St., in the Roads End neighborhood, where crews found heavy black smoke coming from the one-story house, Vancouver Fire Capt. Kevin Murray said.
The residents left the home before firefighters arrived, Murray said, allowing crews to attack the flames.
“Due to the amount of water (fire crews) used, neighbors are going to need to be careful for ice on 51st Street,” Murray said Monday. “It was in the low 20s last night when they were out fighting that fire.”
