The Oregon Air National Guard’s 142nd Fighter Wing is conducting routine F-15 night flying training this week through Friday, and will resume the flights next week, Monday through Friday, Feb. 1.

The training may cause more noise than normal at the air base near Portland International Airport, but most training flights should be completed before 11 p.m., according to a news release.

Night flying is conducted almost monthly to provide essential training for the use of night vision goggles and for nighttime maneuvers, officials said.
