Register by noon Wednesday for economic forecast event

The registration deadline for The Columbian’s economic forecast breakfast is noon Wednesday, Jan. 23. The breakfast is from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington, 301 W. Sixth St. Cost is $50 per person and includes breakfast.

Keynote speakers are Randall Pozdena, economist with the ECONorthwest consulting firm, examining state trends; Thomas Potiowsky, Portland State University’s economics department chairman, with a Portland/Vancouver metro-area perspective; and Scott Keeney, president and chief executive officer of Vancouver-based nLight, discussing business issues in the county.

Three breakout sessions, which will be offered twice, will feature experts on local economic issues. Register through the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce’s website or 360-694-2588.
