KITZBUEHEL, Austria (AP) — Andrej Jerman of Slovenia sustained a concussion Tuesday following a crash during training for a World Cup downhill.

He was taken by helicopter to a hospital in nearby Innsbruck. Race doctor Helmuth Obermoser says there are no other injuries, adding Jerman “feels fine” and will be examined again.

Jerman started 36th after the top racers completed their runs on the Streif course in partly foggy conditions. He was thrown off his run and landed in the safety nets. He got up quickly and skied but soon stopped because he was not well.

It was not immediately clear if he’ll miss Saturday’s race. He was out most of last season after breaking his shin during a downhill crash in Beaver Creek, Colo., in November 2011.

Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal had the fastest time in Tuesday’s training.
