CHICAGO (AP) — Gary Talton scored 14 points, Joey Miller added 12 and Illinois-Chicago ended the game on a 19-0 run in a 60-50 victory against Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
The Flames (12-8, 3-4 Horizon League) did not allow a point in the last 9:39 and outscored the Mustangs 35-8 in the second half.
Paris Gulley scored 14 points and Jordan Aaron 13 for Milwaukee (5-15, 1-5), who shot just 3 of 25 (12 percent) from the floor in the second half. They missed their last 12 shots — all behind the 3-point arc — and had six turnovers during the scoreless stretch.
For the game, Milwaukee was 8 for 35 (22.9 percent) from 3-point range and 18 of 56 (32.1 percent) overall.
Talton’s 3-pointer put Illinois-Chicago ahead for good, 52-50, with 1:35 remaining.
