SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Marc Trasolini’s 14 points and 10 rebounds, along with CS Bakersfield’s inept offense, helped Santa Clara wrap up its nonconference schedule with a 66-36 victory Wednesday night.

Raymond Cowels III added 11 points for the Broncos (15-6), including three 3-pointers. Twelve different Santa Clara players saw game action as the Broncos emptied their bench with a comfortable lead.

Brandon Barnes had 11 points to lead the Roadrunners (7-14), who made just three field goals in the first half, trailed 31-13 at halftime and shot 32 percent from the field for the game. CS Bakersfield was outrebounded 38-18, gave up 19 points off its 17 turnovers and had only four assists.

The outcome was never in doubt, as Santa Clara opened the game on a 17-3 run and cruised from there. The Broncos also won their only two previous games against the Roadrunners, in their 2009-10 and 2010-11 season openers.
