Robert Morris takes down St. Francis (Pa.) 84-70

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Karvel Anderson scored 22 points, Lucky Jones had 16 points and nine rebounds, and Robert Morris defeated St. Francis (Pa.) 84-70 in a Northeast Conference game on Thursday.

Velton Jones had 15 points and six assists, and Russell Johnson scored 12 for the Colonials (13-7, 5-2), winners of five consecutive games. They shot 13 of 27 on 3-pointers. Robert Morris’ bench outscored St. Francis’ 27-12.

Ben Millaud-Meunier scored 22, Ronnie Drinnon had 12, Dominique Major and Eric Major 11 and Anthony Major 10 for the Red Flash (1-17, 1-6).

Robert Morris led 47-31 at the half on the strength of 18 of 32 shooting from the field, 10 of 21 from beyond the arc. The Colonials opened the second half with a 7-1 run for a 54-32 lead 2:42 in, but the Red Flash eventually closed to 74-64 with 4:57 remaining on Anthony Ervin’s 3-pointer but got no closer.
