Girls basketball: Prairie 82, Columbia River 20

Megan Lindsley and Nicole Goecke led Prairie with 16 points each.

Lindsay Asplund made 5 of 6 3-point attempts and finished with 15 points. Cori Woodward added 11 points, six rebounds, 11 assists and six steals. Lindsley added five rebounds and five assists.

“Cori and Megan do all the little things,” Prairie coach Mike Smith said. “When Lindsay and Nicole start shooting like that and Cori and Megan do what they do, it can be pretty hard to guard us.”

Prairie, the state’s top-ranked team in The Associated Press Class 3A poll, led 47-15 at halftime. The Falcons outscored the Chieftains 23-0 in the third quarter.
