Letter: Humans are primitive, too

I read a recent article that referred to animals as primitive creatures, but that can’t be true.

Why?

Because they are living up to their full potential. We humans can be called a primitive species for the fact that we still fight but have the means not to, the means to live in peace. We pollute the Earth, yet we have the means to go green and live in harmony with it. We kill for the wrong reasons, which is just wrong.

So next time you look at a wild animal, just know that you are no better than it; in fact, worse.

There are the few humans who are excluded from this. I do not include myself in this few — not yet — but maybe someday.
