JANUARY BONE MARROW DRIVE, “Be the Match Event — The Power to Save a Life,” 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 7708 N.E. 78th St. The special program will match donors with sufferers of leukemia, lymphoma, multiple, myeloma, sickle-cell and other life-threatening diseases who need a bone marrow transplant. LINFIELD COLLEGE CHOIR will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1309 Franklin St. The 40-voice choir has toured the western United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, China and Southeast Asia and will leave for Costa Rica after the local concert. HEART OF WHOLENESS, a teaching and healing weekend, Feb. 8-9 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 805 S.E. Ellsworth Road. New Zealand’s Rev. Derek Lightbourne, an ordained Anglican priest who has ministered in healing missions and regional conferences internationally, will speak. Workshop topics include depression, marriage and relationships, centering prayer meditations, inner healing and outreach in schools.
