McKinney, Sac State rally for 79-72 victory

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Mikh McKinney scored 26 points and Sacramento State rallied in the second half for a 79-72 victory over Northern Colorado on Saturday night.

Northern Colorado (5-13, 3-7 Big Sky) had a 35-32 lead at halftime and maintained an advantage until midway through the second half, when Sacramento State (10-8, 5-5) took the lead for good on three straight 3-pointers, by Jackson Carbajal, Dylan Garrity and John Dickson.

Konner Veteto scored 14 for Sacramento State. Dickson finished with 11 points and Joe Eberhard added 10.

Sacramento State also had a 22-4 scoring advantage off turnovers.

Tevin Svihovec scored 21 points and handed out seven assists for Northern Colorado. Derrick Barden scored 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Tate Unruh and Emmanuel Addo scored 11 points each.
