New Orleans rolls over Champion Baptist 94-54

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Kevin Hill and Cory Dixon scored 13 points each to lead five New Orleans players in double figures in a 94-54 victory over Champion Baptist on Saturday.

Hill also had 10 rebounds for the Privateers (6-13), who shot 62.9 percent (39 of 62) and outrebounded their opponent from Association of Christian College Athletics by a 47-24 margin.

Brandon Likins scored 31 points to lead the Tigers (5-22), who lost 87-50 to New Orleans on Jan. 12. Likins, a junior forward who came in averaging 32.1 points per game, made 12 of 30 shots but was 0-for-7 from 3-point range.

Champion Baptist shot 29.5 percent (18 of 61) in the game.

Isaac Mack scored 12 points and Evans Ganapamo and Lovell Cook had 10 each for New Orleans, a Division I independent that will play in the Southland Conference next season. Rarlensee Nelson had 10 assists for the Privateers.
