Tennessee Tech overwhelms Austin Peay 70-52

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Jud Dillard had 25 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists to lead Tennessee Tech to a 70-52 victory over Austin Peay on Saturday night.

Dennis Ogbe had 10 points and eight rebounds, and Anthony Morse added 10 points and six rebounds for the Tigers (8-12, 2-6).

Anthony Campbell had 14 points and Will Triggs 13 for Austin Peay (5-17, 1-7).

The Tigers shot 49.1 percent from the field (27 of 55) to the Governors’ 40.4 percent (19 of 47), and Tennessee Tech ruled the lane, winning the rebound battle 36-27 and outscoring Austin Peay 37-22 in the paint.

Tennessee Tech led 13-2 on Ogbe’s layup 2:52 into the game and kept the advantage at about 10 points. From 28-17 with 6:50 to go, the Tigers outscored the Governors 16-6 for a 44-23 halftime lead.

The closest Austin Peay got in the second half was 51-37 with 11:09 remaining.
