Trasolini leads Santa Clara past San Diego 64-50

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Marc Trasolini had 23 points and eight rebounds as Santa Clara won its fourth straight game with a 64-50 victory over San Diego on Saturday.

Evan Roquemore added 18 points and Kevin Foster had 15 for the Broncos (16-6, 4-3 West Coast), who broke the game open by shooting 58 percent from the field and hitting 14 of 16 free throws in the second half.

Ken Rancifer had 14 points for San Diego (11-11, 4-3), which committed 17 turnovers and shot just 38 percent from the field, including 5 of 20 shooting from beyond the arc.

Foster’s point total moved him past Bill Cartwright (2116 points, 1975-79) into third place on the all-time scoring list in the WCC with 2,118 points. Trasolini had three blocked shots, moving him past Nick Vanos (159, 1981-85) into the No. 2 spot in school history with 160.
