Letter: No to special meals at the jail

Published: January 28, 2013, 4:00pm

This is in response to the Jan. 21 story “Are jail meal requests kosher?,” regarding special meals for some prisoners.

In my opinion, they have two choices — either eat the same meals as everyone else or do not go to jail as a result of your own actions.

We cannot afford a difference of approximately $166,000 per year for this special treatment. If you’re hungry enough, you will eat.
