Letter: CREDC’s views applauded

The Columbian
Published: January 30, 2013, 4:00pm

I have a concern about the two Clark County commissioners’ (David Madore and Tom Mielke) vote against funding for Columbia River Economic Development Council because the commissioners’ views were to go against any group that might promote light rail.

CREDC promotes a modern bridge across the Columbia River, which will improve our ability to attract new companies to locate here. That increases jobs in our county. Do those two commissioners have any vision for the future of our county, or are they lost in their own personal agendas? I think one commissioner is being taken down the road by the force of the other one. I don’t have the energy to start up a recall petition, but I certainly will sign one.
