Letter: By association a visage attaches

Elected officials represent more than the ideas of their constituents. They also create impressions and images of the constituents themselves to those outside their legislative district. If an elected official who engages in embarrassing personal conduct and extreme political views consistently gets re-elected, it’s reasonable to assume the constituency is of a similar ilk.

If you are a supporter of Sen. Don Benton, R-Vancouver, please know he is representing your interests well to those of us fortunate enough not to have him as our senator.
