Letter: New face debuts on political canvas

The Columbian
Published: July 11, 2013, 5:00pm

Are you discouraged when you read about the divisive and acrimonious carryings on of our local politicians? I encourage you to learn about a fresh new face on the political horizon, Galina Burley, who is running for Vancouver City Council, Position 3. Burley is young, intelligent, educated and committed to public service. She possesses a thorough knowledge of Vancouver’s neighborhoods and the complex issues facing the city. She is not bound to any one cause or position. One of her goals is to be a voice of reason and civility, making it easier for the council to concentrate on getting work done.

Vote for Burley in the Aug. 6 primary.
