INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Miss Ellany made it consecutive gate-to-wire wins on the Betfair Hollywood Park turf course, winning Friday’s $57,000 feature by 2 14 lengths.

Ridden by Edwin Maldonado, Miss Ellany ran 1 mile in 1:34.89 and paid $3.60, $2.40 and $2.10 as the 4-5 favorite. Her trainer, John Sadler, clinched the training title at the spring-summer meet, which ends Sunday.

Sadler has 27 winners, six ahead of Mike Puype, who has just five starters left to run during the final two days. Sadler earned his fourth career training title at the track.

Brazil-bred Freedom Reigns returned $2.80 and $2.20 in her first start in the U.S., while High Jinks was another 5 14 lengths back in third and paid $3 to show.

Ireland-bred Miss Ellany has four wins in 14 career starts and earnings of $84,285.
