NEW YORK (AP) — Baltimore slugger Chris Davis has popped a blister on his right hand during the All-Star Game Home Run Derby.

Davis’ hand was bandaged after Monday night’s competition. The Orioles first baseman says he doesn’t think the problem will bother him going into Tuesday night’s game.

Davis has 37 home runs, matching Reggie Jackson for the most by an American League player before the All-Star break. Davis says he hurt his hand during the second round of the derby. He finished with 12 home runs overall at Citi Field.

Says Davis: “It’s something that I’ve dealt with in my career since I can remember. You’ve just got to kind of wear it for a couple of days, and then it hardens up and you’re good to go.”
