HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Rockets have signed their only pick in this year’s NBA draft, second-round selection Isaiah Canaan.

Canaan, who was taken 34th overall, scored more than 2,000 points in a four-year career at Murray State. The point guard led the team last season with 21.8 points a game.

The Rockets also agreed to terms on Monday with rookie free agent forward Robert Covington and guard B.J. Young.

Covington averaged 14.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks in 118 games in a four-year career at Tennessee State. Young averaged 15.2 points in 63 games over two seasons at Arkansas.

Also on Monday, Houston waived guard/forward James Anderson and center Tim Ohlbrecht.
