Letter: Keystone pipeline full of flaws

Where does syndicated columnist Jay Ambrose get his information? He must believe whatever Republicans say to be the truth. In his July 11 column, “Obama’s global warming plan full of miscast notions,” the items he quotes about the proposed Keystone XL pipeline have no bearing in reality. This project is not “OK” as he suggests. Canada does not want to ship the crude oil product across their country because of its inherent danger.

The House of Representatives already voted down an amendment that would require the product be sold in the U.S., and that it would be refined here.

Fracking and the chemicals used affect the water sources. There is no way to determine just how much damage is done. This project needs to be stopped.
