La Center — Local Lions Club members Mark and Debbie Mansell have returned home after traveling on motorcycles across 48 states in 24 days. The couple reached their final state, California, on July 8 and returned to La Center at a more leisurely pace. They were raising money and promoting Leader Dogs for the Blind, which provides guide dogs to those who are blind or have vision difficulties. Mark is superintendent of the La Center School District.
