NAPA, Calif. (AP) — Second-round offenseive tackle Menelik Watson has signed his rookie contract with the Oakland Raiders.

The team announced the deal Wednesday just hours after most of the rest of the rookies arrived at training camp for a one-month stay in wine country.

Watson is a converted basketball player from England who played one year of junior college football and one year at Florida State before being drafted by the Raiders.

His signing leaves first-round cornerback D.J. Hayden as the only unsigned player from the 10-man draft class with practice set to start Friday. There is still time for Hayden to sign before then but it remains uncertain if he will be able to practice after undergoing offseason abdominal surgery.
