NEW YORK (AP) — Atlanta Braves right-hander Humberto Carpio and Cincinnati Reds outfielder Yoel Noel have each been suspended 50 games for violations of baseball’s minor league drug program.

Carpio and Noel were each penalized Friday after testing positive for anabolic steroids. Carpio tested metabolites of Stanozolol and Noel for metabolites of Nandrolone.

Both players were on the rosters of their organization’s Dominican Summer League teams.

There have been 35 suspensions this year under the minor league program, including seven this week.
