A pair of one-run losses Friday kept Cascade Little League from the Junior League state title.

Cascade had been unbeaten in the state tournament for 13-14-year-olds in Medical Lake.

Needing to beat West Valley of Yakima once on Friday, Cascade fell 6-5 in the first game before losing 10-9 in the winner-take-all finale.

West Valley advances to the Junior League Baseball Regional Tournament, which begins Wednesday at Clark College. The lone local representative is the host team Central Vancouver Little League.
