LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Olympic silver medalists April Ross and Jennifer Kessy beat three-time Olympic gold champion Kerri Walsh Jennings and Whitney Plavik 18-21, 21-17 and 16-14 on Saturday to advance to final of the ASICS World Series Cup.

Ross and Kessy will face the top-ranked team of Talita Antunes and Taiana Lima. The Brazilian duo beat Germany’s Katrin and Ilka Semmler Holtwick 21-14, 21-16, a day after winning their fourth FIVB Grand Slam title of the year.

Walsh Jennings gave birth to her third child in February, and withdrew from the FIVB Grand Slam this week because of an abdominal strain.
