NEW YORK (AP) — Readtheprospectus won the $150,000 Commentator Stakes, the richest of the seven stakes of New York Showcase Day on Saturday at Belmont Park.
The entire 10-race card was devoted to horses bred in the state.
Readtheprospectus extended his winning streak to six in his stakes debut, beating So Scott by 114 lengths.
The 4-year-old gelding ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:41.17, paying $4.70 to win. Junior Alvarado was aboard for trainer Chad Brown.
