YWCA Clark County got a major fundraising boost from Classic Wines Auction Inc.’s March gala in Portland.

The charity wine auction, presented by Kuni Automotive, netted $376,148 for YWCA Clark County, an amount equal to about half of the organization’s philanthropic income for the year. The agency got the check May 28.

“We know that the YWCA Clark County provides very vital services across a spectrum of needs, and unfortunately those needs have increased over these past few years,” said Kuni CEO Greg Goodwin in a news release. “So it makes it that much more important that each of us support the organization in any way that we can.”

YWCA Clark County serves more than 11,800 people each year. The funds will help pay for programs to help domestic violence victims, the homeless, abused and neglected children, victims of sexual assault, youth in foster care and incarcerated women.
