Hillsboro council OKs killing wildlife at airport

HILLSBORO, Ore. — The Hillsboro City Council approved a city code change Tuesday night to allow wildlife patrols to discharge weapons on airport property.

KOIN reports it will allow the patrols to kill birds, deer or coyotes that threaten airplane traffic.

Similar patrols can kill wildlife when necessary at Portland International Airport.
