A motorcyclist is reportedly in critical condition following a collision with a vehicle near Clark College Thursday morning.

A 29-year-old female was driving a vehicle west on McLoughlin Boulevard, in the middle of making a left turn into a day care facility when she noticed an oncoming motorcyclist, Vancouver Police Spokeswoman Kim Kapp said. The woman, whose name was not released, stopped in the eastbound lane just prior to the motorcycle striking the car in a low-speed collision, Kapp said.

The rider, a 55-year-old man, was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with serious injuries. His name is not being released pending contact with his family, Kapp said.

No citations have been issued, but the police investigation is ongoing.
