Letter: Difficult news calls for compassion

The Columbian
Published: June 6, 2013, 5:00pm

Upon reading about Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler’s, R-Vancouver, devastating news of a diagnosis of Potter’s Syndrome for her unborn baby, I was truly saddened. It’s much too easy to forget that politicians are people, too, regardless of ideology. I hope our community can put all political beliefs aside and support our congresswoman with humanity and compassion.
