• Sigma Design of Vancouver hired four new employees recently. Tod Heiles, a sensors engineer responsible for product engineering and development, has a degree in mechanical engineering and nearly 30 years of engineering experience. He also has more than 15 patents. Norman Pedersen, a mechanical engineer responsible for product engineering and design, has nearly 30 years of experience in the product design and engineering industry. Joe Emery, a mechanical engineer responsible for product engineering and development, most recently worked on illumination/optical/digital imaging solutions and vision inspection systems. Warren Harwood, who has more than 25 years of engineering experience, has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Washington.

• The Columbia River Economic Development Council has hired Denise McCarty as its director of business recruitment. McCarty will oversee the council’s business recruitment efforts and will participate in a variety of other economic development initiatives. She spent the last 16 years as director of global business management for Avnet Inc., where she traveled in China, Southeast Asia and Europe. Launched in 1982, the CREDC is a nonprofit jobs promoter and business recruiter.

• Moses Lee is joining the staff of the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, based in Vancouver, as a program director. Lee currently is the dean of natural and applied sciences as well as a chemistry professor at Hope College in Holland, Mich. His academic training is in the field of bio-organic and medicinal chemistry and he holds a doctorate in organic chemistry.

• P.J. Fisher has been promoted to commercial banking officer at Pacific Continental. Fisher will continue working from the bank’s office in downtown Vancouver.

• Wendy Hauzen was recently hired as the meaningful pursuits coordinator at Lexington House, a senior living community at 2610 S.E. 164th Ave. She will be responsible for planning and coordinating life-enrichment programs for the residents.

• Northwest Healthcare Inc. has hired Tammy Haas as director of operations. She is dedicated to excellent customer service.

• Buffy Howard has joined Prestige Care as regional director of operations for the company’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. She has 20 years of long-term care experience, as well as 15 years as a licensed nursing home administrator in Washington state.

• Tony Manduley, a broker who has been in the real estate industry since 1999, has joined Windermere Real Estate. He will work out of the Mill Plain office, 12500 S.E. Second Circle, Suite 205.

• Tammy Bjorkman has joined M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust in Vancouver as administrative assistant. She has more than 25 years of experience in administrative support, most recently with Columbia Land Trust.

• Landerholm, PS, a Vancouver law firm, has hired Bradley W. Andersen as a new senior counsel. Andersen is a graduate of Willamette University of Law.

• For the sixth year in a row, Audigy Group has been named one of Portland Business Journal’s “Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies.” CEO Brandon Dawson was recently recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist. Audigy Group also received the Inc. Hire Power Award. Audigy Group was established in 2004.
