FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Veteran tight end Kellen Winslow will get a tryout with the New York Jets on Tuesday during their minicamp.

Winslow barely played last season, making just one reception for New England in one game. He spent his first four seasons in Cleveland, making the Pro Bowl in 2007. Winslow then joined Tampa Bay for three seasons.

He could fill a void at the position for the Jets, who lost Dustin Keller to free agency and have no proven tight ends. But Winslow also has been plagued by right knee problems.

The 29-year-old Winslow is the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Kellen Winslow. He has 438 career catches for 4,848 yards and 23 touchdowns.
