Letter: Acts of kindness decorate our world

The Columbian
Published: June 10, 2013, 5:00pm

One of the problems I see every day at school is people being unkind to one another. As a student involved with ASB and Leadership, I like to look for new ways to help people and make them feel welcome. One thing I learned while in Leadership class was to do random acts of kindness.

Random acts of kindness are a great way to help others. I challenge myself to do a random act of kindness every day. There are many ways to do random acts of kindness. You could do anything from smiling at someone at the gas station to buying a drink for the person behind you at a coffee shop to letting someone with fewer items go in front of you in line at the grocery store. Challenge yourself to make someone’s day or change their life by doing a random act of kindness.
