SEATTLE — The University of Washington is in the process of making a major addition to student housing in Seattle’s University District.
Four new dorms have already opened; another will be ready in the fall and another in January.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports the work is adding 3,000 beds — a total of 1.8 million square feet of housing at a cost of $479 million.
Rents start at $900 a month, about twice the price of older dorms.
